All right so I sluffed off for a bit with the Sample of the Day posts – sorry! Today’s Sample of the Day post is another one that I’ve been using regularly for a month or so now. Origins VitaZing SFP Energy-Boosting Moisturizer with Mangosteen is admittedly one of my favorites.
According to the description on the Sephora website, this moisturizer multitasks by hydrating, energizing and protects.
“This multitasking moisturizer handles the vital jobs of hydrating, energizing, and protecting to maintain skin’s momentum all day. It gives the complexion the refreshing zing of antioxidant-rich mangosteen and adds a healthy hit of radiance that mimics the glow you get from a week’s vacation. All in ten seconds max. “
It truly does give an awesome glow. It’s not a shiny, glittery-type glow that’s common with some moisturizers, and it’s not a bronzer, it simply adds a radiance to the face. Like after spending a day in the sun. Only better.
I typically apply this over the Dr. Jart BB cream I use to enhance the color and coverage on my face.
The only problem I’ve found with it is that it can cause the face to look a little greasy. I’ve been able to reduce this by topping it off with Clinique Pore Minimizer which is awesome at reducing facial shine (and minimizing the appearance of pores of course).
I’ve found that this doesn’t cause my face to break out, though I do notice that if I leave it on ALL day I start getting clogged pores. I just wash my face off after work and reapply and I’m good to go!
A full size bottle will run about $35. I’ve been using the sample size which is less than half of a regular bottle and have been using it for about two months so it should last.
